What
are yes/no questions?
Yes/No questions are those questions that can elicit
a response in the form of either a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. They are also known as
closed- end questions.
How
to frame Yes/No questions
A. If the statements contain an
auxiliary verb: ( Bring the auxiliary before the
subject)

She is writing a letter.
• Is

• 3.

B. If the auxiliary verbs have/ has are
used as main verbs

auxiliary verbs: (bring the modal auxiliary before the subject)

D. When there is no auxiliary verb in
the statementL insert a suitable auxiliary, such
as do, did, does)

is present( singular). So insert ‘does’)
